about

Every band needs three things: cool hair, groupies, and a holiday song. In 2006 we set out to accomplish at least one of these goals. Featuring the usually-only-sings-backround-but-what-the-hell-it's-a-joke-song-anyways-and-he's-been-working-so-hard vocal talents of Jordan Frank, this delightful track asks the timely question: "Can't we all just get along? No? People?" Please enjoy, and think about all the things that makes winter special to you (apologies to California).

lyrics

Little Herschel Finklestein
Was walking home from school one day
When he spied Sally Johnson’s pink snowsuit
She was rolling balls of snow
He wondered why he did not know
He approached her in his new Moon Boots

Sally looked at him and grinned
And said she wanted 12 snow friends
To sing aloud each Christmas day with hymns
Two smaller balls did Herschel pack
And place them on the snowfriend’s lap
Saying, “Snow testes make them real snowmen”

12 snowmen, 24 snowballs
Winter is my favorite time of year

The snowmen gave a magic glow
That kept the children from the cold
They looked each other deeply in the eyes
The priest and rabbi walked on by
And each gave out a little cry
They saw their children kissing in the snow, oh oh

Time passed sweetly they were wed
And one night sleeping in their bed
They heard their child tiptoe out the door
She was rolling balls of snow
With a little boy she seemed to know
Winter’s balls began to glow once more

about

Quasar Wut-Wut Chicago, Illinois

Considered the finest rock band ever to have formed in Belleville, Michigan, Quasar Wut-Wut has been "delivering" since 1990. After getting blacklisted from the Detroit club scene we relocated to Chicago in 1999 and have since refused to leave. With five full-lengths, 2 soundtracks, and a new LP, QWW just can't take the hint that no one wants them. We don't mind, we like us just the way we are. ... more
